Happy New Year, beauties! I can't believe we are already in 2016 and I am days away from turning 24. This past year has been filled with so many new and exciting things. If I could describe my year in one word, it would be transitional.
So in this time of reflection and goal setting for the new year I decided to do the 'About A Year Ago' Tag!
1. Biggest Accomplishment of 2015?
-My biggest accomplishment from 2015 would have to be my big move to New York! This was huge for me because since graduating from college in 2014 this has been my goal. After attending FIT in New York during my junior year of college I knew that this was the city that I wanted and needed to be in.
I initially kept my move very private with only my family and closest friends being aware of it, because am I sole believer in not announcing anything until its actually done! Aside from just moving to New York, landing a job at the corporate office of one of the fashion industries biggest and most respected companies was a blessing in itself.
Those two moments are for sure my biggest accomplishments of the year.

2. Best Memory of 2015?
- Best memory.. ah this is a hard one! I've had A LOT of really good memories in 2015. The list includes everything from my first visit to New Orleans, being able to witness my best friend get engaged in Central Park, my trip to the Bahamas and the list could go on! I truly had some great memories in 2015. I can't pick just one.
3. Biggest Obstacle of 2015?
- My biggest obstacle of 2015 was overall just letting go of all my fears and doubts I had that was essentially holding me back from following my heart and pursuing my dreams. Not even 6 months ago I was working a job I absolutely hated and did not feel myself progressing in anyway. I knew I had to make a change... a big one at that. I had to make my next move my best one. My quote for 2015 was without a doubt "When you let go of fear, you step into faith" Quote of my life.
4. Top 5 Beauty Products of 2015?
- NYX Soft Matte Lip Creme in the color Copenhagen
- LA Girl Pro Concealer
- MAC Mineralize Skin Finish
- Revlon ColorStay Foundation
- e.l.f. Liquid Eyeliner
5. Favorite Fashion Trends of 2015?
- Fringe..... Everything!
- Olive colored anything
- Waterfall trench coats/ jackets
- OTK suede boots
6. Regrets of 2015?
- I really don't regret anything in 2015. I'm a true believer that everything happens for a reason and everything eventually becomes a learning lesson.
7. Lessons Learned in 2015?
- My biggest lesson learned in 2015 has to be that nothing in life will come to you easy. If you truly want something you have to speak it into existence and work your ass off to get it.
I learned to wholeheartedly have faith in God and know that everything that is meant for me will happen for me.
I learned that timing is everything. I can be a bit impatient at times and want things to happen when I want them to, but I've had to learn patience and know that everything happens in due time. The first half of 2015 was honestly rough, I was in that what I felt like was the "I need to get my life together" phase, but the second half.... nothing short of amazing!
8. Goals for 2016 / What I'm looking forward to in 2016
- I can honestly say I am looking forward to so much in 2016. I can't wait to continue to get familiar with my new city.
I am looking forward to letting the seeds that were planted the last few months of 2015 blossom and see where this new journey takes me.
Some of my goals for the new year are;

Overall, 2015 was the year of growth for me. I truly focused on growing every aspect of my life and for the most part I was very much successful in doing that. Now I think 2016.... Its time for the #GloUp!
Until next time, thanks for all of your continued support! Xoxo, Z!
